2008 Roxboro Easter Bash

Roxboro Dragway had a HUGE crowd on hand to watch the Easter Bash this past weekend.  There were Jet Funny Cars on hand to entertain the crowd along with the regular bracket program.  Saturday's Jr. Dragster winner was Taylor Holt (Daughter of sumerduck Dragway owners Joy and Mike Anderson)  Taylor won it on Saturday and runner'd up on Sunday to a fellow Sumerduck Racer Antonio Cox.

Modified driver Roger Rhodes had a pretty successful weekend and copied Holt's pattern as he won on Saturday and runner'd up to Austin Welch's CAR that was driven by Jay Giles.

Roger is seen here getting into his pale yellow machine right before the finals of the second day.  Don't know where Welch was but Giles didn't have any trouble getting in done. When I asked this guy his name, he told me Jay Welch.  Sounds like some funny business.  LOl.

The winner in top on Saturday was Charles Melton (pic below) and Sunday's top winner was herb Ramsey and sorry I don't have a picture.
